Hi Rich...... Sent you some pictures taken with my phone of snapshots I found of the "American Lady" when she was stored and docked here @ Pirates Cove Marina. Please let me know if they are suitable for your use.
Four of these pictures were taken on the Oswego canal and at Oswego Harbor during a summer trip. The other three were here at Pirates Cove. My best guess of the time frame would be 1976 -1978.
While here, she was owned by a local couple Dick & Sue Phillips. I checked back in my records for some history and found that she was docked and stored here from at least 1977 {my earliest written records} through 1986 when she was sold to Tom Denslow from the Utica, NY area. After his purchase he continued with renovations already underway of the main cabin as there was extensive deterioration. The boat left here for the Sylvan Beach area that fall.
If memory serves me correct, there was little or none of the main cabin sides remaining intact, leaving only the front windshield. There was a white bimini top and side panels added that, when completed, I recall the majority of local boaters found to be tastefully done and fit her lines well.
Some years later the boat was spotted dry docked along side the road in Vernon, NY which was the last we heard about her until contact with you recently.
I will certainly forward to you anything I come across that pertains to your project and wish you we'll in you're endeavours.
Regards,
Paul White
